They only had their ground-breaking ceremony last year. Today, February 24, the faithful of the St. Luke Quasi-Parish of Aramaywan, Quezon, Palawan finally celebrates the thanksgiving and blessing of Saint Arnold Janssen Pastoral Hall. Fr. Peter Vu, their priest-administrator, posted in his facebook account his joy over the completion of the project:

“At this moment, my heart is full of joy in thanking God, St. Arnold Janssen, Bishop Socrates Mesiona, SVD Superiors and confreres, all clergy and religious of the Apostolic Vicariate of Puerto Princesa (Palawan), benefactors, mission-partners, friends, and all parishioners/mission-partners of St. Luke Quasi-parish for the accomplishment of the construction of this parish pastoral hall.”

The St. Arnold Janssen Pastoral Hall is a two-floor building which will accommodate parishioners when they come for formation seminars or pastoral gatherings; it will also house the clergy for meetings. It was named after the SVD Founder Saint Arnold to leave a mark of SVD mission and to follow the example of our Founder to entrust everything to the Divine Providence.

St. Arnold Janssen Mission House

The groundbreaking ceremony of the St. Arnold Janssen Mission House at St. Luke Quasi-Parish in Aramaywan, Quezon, Palawan took place last June 11,  2017. This building shall be used to accommodate our parishioners when they will come for formation seminars or pastoral gatherings; it will also house the clergy and their companions when they will come for clergy meetings.

Why St. Arnold Janssen Mission House? This is to leave a mark of SVD mission and also to invoke the help of our Founder to accomplish this project. We also would like to follow the example of our Founder who entrusted his projects to the Divine Providence during his time.
