Davao City, Circa 1950s. Probably, this is Toril area, upon entrance to the city.

It was granted “city status” on March 16, 1936.

The city serves as the main trade, commerce, and industry hub of Mindanao and the

regional center of Davao Region.

Davao is home to Mount Apo, the highest mountain in the Philippines.

The city is also nicknamed as:

“King City of the South”
“City of Royalties”
“Crown Jewel of Mindanao”
“Fruit Basket of the Philippines”
“Eco-Adventure Capital of the Philippines”
“Durian Capital of the Philippines”
“Highland to Island Destination”
