Sisenando Galan Fiel: He was awarded Policeman of the Year 1961 in Calbayog City. in 1964, he was also chosen as Outstanding Policeman in Eastern Visayas by the Leyte Press and Radio Club in Tacloban City. His choice among other policemen in the region was made on the basis of service record extracts and news clippings continually compiled by the vigilant press club.
