My first time to see Bro. Noe Dura! He was a Protestant Pastor who converted to Catholicism. He was invited by the Divine Word Missionaries (SVD) of the Manila District to share about his conversion story. Bro. Noe, who was once a resident of Olutanga Island (my former mission area), highlighted the shepherding role of priesthood, the Eucharist and the Blessed Virgin. In my personal conversation with him, we initially plan out to have a radio program in Cebu over DYRF about “Convert’s Hour.” Hopefully, it shall be materialized.
Interestingly, he shared also that there are already 51 Protestant Pastors in our country today who embraced the Catholic faith – and counting. A good number of them from Mindanao asked him that they wanted to have Fr. Gerry Orbos, SVD talk to them in a retreat or a recollection. To his great surprise, Fr. Orbos was among us, listening to him. Such a blessed moment!
