The faithful of Poblacion, Mabuhay, Zamboanga Sibugay took San Isidro the Farmer as their patron. The first inhabitants of the place were the native Subanens and the Muslims. After the World War II when the influx of the people of Visayas reached the shores of Olutanga Island, the first to arrive in the Poblacion were the Boholanos, Cebuanos, Leyteňos and Negrenses who were mostly farmers .  Not long after, they established farmlands and built a small chapel to gather for common worship.

In August 2011, the chapel of the Poblacion erected its first Legion of Mary presidium in the parish. It was headed by Mrs. Melinda Adlaon, herself a Legion of Mary back when she lived in Ipil.

Since the staging of the Quest of St. Michael search during the parish fiesta every September, the candidates from San Isidro Labrador of Poblacion always emerged as winners: Neil Cole in 2009, Kim Caloňge in 2010, Ian Czar Redoble in 2011 and Erlan John Fernandez in 2012.

In 2012, when the annual streetdancing was categorized into various zones, the San Isidro Chapel of Poblacion was proclaimed the grand champion. Michael Zarate played the role of St. Michael the Archangel.
