PRAYER FOR RAIN March 9, 2010Posted by Fr. Felmar Castrodes Fiel, SVD in Prayers.

LET US PRAY:
in whom we live and move,
and have our being,
grant us rain,
in due abundance, that,
being sufficiently helped with temporal,
we may the more confidently seek after eternal gifts.
Through Christ, our Lord.

I received a text last Tuesday.
My Friend: It’s raining here in Davao.
Me: Talaga? Malakas ba?
My Friend: Yap, last week umulan din. Sleep na me kasi ang lamig eh.
Isama natin sa ating dasal ang ulan. I remembered as a child na nagkaroon din ng El Niño. Tigang na tigang ang lupa. One pious woman gathered all the children in our barangay and we all went to the river dala-dala ang image ng St. Niño.
Then, we all prayed for rain. Believe it or not, that night, it rained. Buhos! Ika nga eh, siksik, liglig, umaapaw.
Di ko pa na-add ang scores last post. Every three hours ang brownout dito. Mahirap mag-bloghop and magcomment. Rest assured that you are all in my prayers. God bless+
