As of April 28, the Tubbataha Reef maintains its 8th position for two consecutive days in the global campaign for the “New Seven Wonders of Nature.” The N7W website only showed one tiny picture of the nominees. Now, I painstakingly searched the net to look for the best pictures of our Tubbataha Reef to encourage more voters.

According to Cebu News Daily, The Manila city council passed a resolution urging Filipinos to vote online for the Tubbataha Reef in Palawan as one of the “New Seven Wonders of Nature.”Manila District 2 Councilor Numero Lim who authored the resolution said, “We Filipinos love to vote, that’s why in beauty pageants like Miss Universe we usually win the Miss Photogenic award. So why not make our votes count in something [that] can help to promote the Philippines?”

  1. grabe! tubbataha really deserves a placement in the top seven. keep voting filipinos! if we have made it in miss universe as miss photogenic, why not in the 7 wonders?

  2. i have been there and its really a sight to behold. philippines has a lot to show. its countryside has always been very beautiful, not to mention the exotic beaches, more beautiful than hawaii.

  3. As I gaze through the images, i remember this:

    All things bright and beautiful,
    All creatures great and small,
    All things wise and wonderful:
The Lord God made them all.

If voting is one way of preserving the beauty God has given to us, then I’ll vote. If it meant just to attract more tourists and eventually destroy the serenity of nature, then I’ll never waste my time voting.

I have faith that the purpose is the former than the latter.
